We are able to offer a number of placements in rural locations throughout the south, south west and south east of England.
All the packages we offer are tailored to suit the individual needs of both the young person and social services in question.

We are leaders in the field in providing “controlled fostering”. This offers a real alternative to secure accommodation; or a stepping stone when a young person is leaving secure, but not yet ready for the environment that a children’s home can offer.

The young person lives in a family home, usually alone, with as many staff members as necessary. They are given education within the home, and are encouraged to participate in local social activities, although always with some degree of supervision. There are staff members with the young person twenty four hours a day, although the emphasis is still very much on making the young person feel that the house is their home. They are encouraged to develop life skills such as budgeting and cooking, and have an active input into the weekly menus, shopping trips and spring cleaning.

We have successfully managed to place difficult and troubled young people when numerous other placements have broken down. We are able to offer mixed placements with one or two children, but usually the young people are place alone.
The young person is allowed to have an input into the choosing of the furniture in the home, and all the furniture within their bedrooms. They are also allowed to choose the décor of their rooms (within reason!)
We are currently able to offer a number of placements, and both the location and type of placement offered can be discussed on a individual basis. We can offer placements to young people of all ages, up to and including 18.

Our aim is to provide a caring and understanding home for those young people who would otherwise not be able to live in a family environment. Often the more difficult young people are turned away by foster homes and residential units. We make these sort of children our speciality and all our staff are experienced in the problems these young people may present.

All the placements are supported by our psychologist and therapist, who can offer a number of services including counselling and anger management courses. The educational needs are assessed individually and a programme is designed accordingly. We encourage the young person to join local sports clubs such as rugby, dancing, football, martial arts etc. We can usually find a course to cater for most tastes!. This also provides the young person with invaluable interaction with peers of their own age.

Contact with birth parents is encouraged within the guidelines of Social Services, and we can provide an independent worker to supervise the sessions if required. We can also offer emergency and short term placement.
