Vulnerable Adult Transport

Our secure ambulances are fitted with a secure area in the rear section of the vehicle which is accessible to nursing and PSS staff from both the inside and outside of the vehicle. This enables staff to enter the secure area in case of an emergency, however the client is unable to obtain outside access unless being escorted.

We are able to provide a driver and any number of escorts (this is usually determined by hospital staff availability and the risk grade of the patient being transported and is entirely at the discretion of the service user).

	PSS staff are able to manually restrain and are also trained in the use of handcuffs. If handcuffs are required, this must be specified when the referral is made.
